After a sell-out last year, we've got more cider and perry than ever.
Our 2019 line-up of cider and perry features an extremely popular rhubarb cider with an ABV of 4%. At the other end of the ABV spectrum, we have Jack Ratt Vintage, a 7.4% dry cider. Check out the full selection in the table below.
We are also pleased to include two ciders from Charlbury Sharecroppers, part of Charlbury Green Hub. Each year Charlbury Sharecroppers pick 2 tonnes of dessert and cooking apples from gardens within 9 miles from Charlbury for giving away at fortnightly Big Apple Take-Aways during the autumn. Last year was another good year for apples and a further half tonne of windfall apples were pressed and fermented, using only natural yeasts, to make about 50 gallons of cider given away for sale at local festivals. Charlbury Sharecroppers have selected the best two barrels for the CBF 2019.
In May 2017, Charlbury Sharecroppers won the Environmental Award from OCVA (Oxfordshire Community and Voluntary Action organisation) for this whole operation and raising excitement in the community about eating local apples. This year the ciders are inspired by the Apollo 11 moon landing 50 years ago: Small Step and Giant Leap.
